Snapchatters Gear Up for a Return to Movie Theaters

Snap Inc. found that Snapchat users were significantly more likely to cite movies as their most-desired post-pandemic activity than non-users.
The company wrote in a blog post Wednesday, “Close your eyes for a moment. If you try hard enough, can you almost smell the faint scent of buttery popcorn? Can you feel the excited hush fall over the crowd as the theater lights dim? We can. We’ve really missed the days of Sunday matinées and waiting in line for the latest premiere.”
Snap said 81% of Snapchatters indicated that they will watch movies in theaters as much as or more often than before Covid-19, and 74% of respondents said they were active moviegoers prior to the pandemic.
